Donations to the Museum fall into several general categories:
Monetary ... Or other financial instruments which we are essentially prepared to accept at this time
In kind services ... Such as printing of materials, supplies, and other necessary items of administering the project that preclude the expenditure of Museum funds
Artifacts ... Historical and collectible items, and significant assets that are important or desirable for the success of the museum.
Artifacts are least important at this time. As we move forward and indeed when the Museum is operating. While obvious major historical objects are welcomed, like all museums we need to form a donations and collections committee to establish a criteria list for items and artifacts which are acceptable or beneficial to the mission of the Museum. While the generosity of donors is deeply appreciated, we can't allow the Museum to become a "dumping ground" for memorabilia that is not germaine to our purpose no matter how well intentioned the donor may be.
Unfortunately right now that criteria is very limited as we have neither the space to store donations nor the means to rent such space. However, we do not want to miss the opportunity to obtain genuine rare historic objects, and invite any donors who wish to contribute to please contact us. We will respond promptly and gratefully.
