2019 Southeastern Massachusetts Aviation Career Fair

On October 15th, the Massachusetts Air and Space Museum, in coordination with the Barnstable Municipal Airport, hosted the first Southeastern Massachusetts Aviation Career Fair. Over 400 middle and high school students from the Cape Cod region and islands were able to meet with around 40 exhibitors who make Aviation happen. This included airport management, air traffic control, the Massachusetts National Guard, the local Experimental Aircraft Association chapter, AOPA, Cape Air, The Tuskegee Airmen, The US Coast Guard and many, many more.
Mary Lou Bigelow, former Trans World Airlines (TWA) flight attendant, attended the grand opening of the TWA Hotel at JFK on September 28, 2019 and from October 2-6 joined 1000+ attendees for a TWA Silver Wings reunion.
On March 23, 2019, the Fourth Annual Massachusetts General Aviation Forum was held at Barnstable Municipal Airport. Participants included aviation leaders from government, industry, education and non-profits around Massachusetts. Sponsored by MASM, organized by MASM’s Keith Young, and hosted by Barnstable Municipal Airport, this event provided a platform for sharing successes, ideas, issues and upcoming events.
